The Journey

After five years of standing empty, Verdant Interiors took on the full refurbishment of this beautiful property; transforming it into an eye-catching yet peaceful retreat nestled into the fells of Ambleside. The renovation included new bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, heating system, and interior decoration, fully designed and managed by our Studio.

We wished to maintain the charm and original features of the property, yet bring it up to scratch through modern features, a vibrant colour palette, and contemporary interior decor. Our efforts culminated in Loughrigg Cottage being shortlisted as a finalist in Cumbria Tourism’s “Cottage of the Year” award. It’s an honour that stands as a testament to the dedication, hard work, and creativity that we poured into every detail of this transformation.
